How to draw a crowd: Location & Booth Design

Ryan talked out 2 crucial points of drawing the crowd, choosing the right location and having a great booth design. Just as there are prime areas on the trade show floor, there are also spaces that are less desirable. Areas in the rear of an exhibit hall get less foot traffic and are often missed. Also, by the time attendees get to the back of an exhibit hall, they will have engaged with many exhibitors and may be too exhausted to visit your booth. High-traffic intersections at trade shows are a great place to position your trade show exhibit. You’ll have opportunities to capture visitors on two different aisles and those that congregate in the intersection itself.

Here Are 4 Design Ideas To Help You Stand Out

1. Use a clear, eye-catching tagline – As a rule of thumb, try to create a short phrase tagline that a reader can interpret within 3 seconds. Keep it honest, and don’t make it too abstract. If you’re a young brand, your brand name can be secondary to the tagline, as it will ultimately be more effective in drawing people to your booth. By stating clearly what your brand is about, you’ll also find that the people entering your booth are attendees who are actually interested in your brand/products.

2. Use a limited number of colors – Try to use an absolute maximum of three colors. Again, the focus is on getting a simple message across in the least amount of time. Using a lot of different colors can make the booth feel “busy” and confuse the main message.

3. Respect empty space – The overall rule of thumb for booth design graphics is that they should be 40% empty space. That’s right––almost half of your graphics space should be totally blank. That is because what your message does not say is just as important as what it does say. Remember, you only get one shot at being memorable. Don’t clutter your booth with extraneous information.

4. Excellent product demo area – The hands-on approach has worked for years, for the simple reason that consumers want to try before they buy. Providing an interactive element within an exhibit can only increase the attraction to your display.

Know Your Niche & Have Outstanding Products

“At the end of the day, it all boils down to your product,” Lee says. “You have to know the market and know your niche.” X-mini specialize in customization of sounds. They engineer their drivers and audio tweeters and focus on a clean treble tone whose frequency is at the higher end of human hearing. Bass is approximately 20Hz – 400Hz range. Musical instruments like bass guitar, kick drum etc are examples of sound you can refer for this range. Mid range is approximately 400Hz – 5.2kHz. Human voice mainly comes in this range. Treble (high) is the range above 5.2kHz. Sound of soprano voices, flute tones are examples of this range. This is just a broad classification. The categories are even more. In lay man’s terms, Bass section is the boomy heavier section while treble is the squeaky or sharp high end section. While most competitions focus on the bass, X-mini focuses the higher frequency of sounds. This has won many loyal audiophile’s support over the years.

3 Reasons Why It Is Important To Have A Niche

1. Stand out – By having a niche you are unique and are far more likely to be remembered. You can be the best in one category and proudly own the title. With niche marketing especially, getting in front of the right people is more important than getting in front of a lot of people.

2. Enhanced Customer Relationships – Niche marketing targets a very specific kind of customer, so depending on what you’re promoting, your niche market may be very small. A small customer base has its benefits. When you are engaging with fewer people, you can focus on the quality of those engagements and on nurturing your relationships.

3. Reduced Competition – When you have a highly specific product or service, there will be less companies out there with the exact same offering. This reduces your competition and it makes it harder for other companies to duplicate your strategies.
